Through our Skills Development and Training offerings, we help life sciences and health tech companies recruit and develop industry-ready talent, offer entrepreneurship programs to ensure the continuum of talent from early career to leadership and the C-suite, and collaborate with partners in the academic ecosystem to develop and nurture an industry-ready workforce.

Job Board: in partnership with BioTalent Canada, OBIO® is offering its members better recruitment support through the The PetriDish™ platform, a trusted hub for life sciences talent in Canada.


Infrastructure Support

 

Desk hoteling for emerging Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs): fully furnished
co-working space available for rentals at the Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus (University of Toronto), in the heart of Toronto's Discovery District.

Wet lab space: working towards increasing the inventory wet lab space in Ontario by providing SMEs access to services through partnerships with wet lab innovation centres.

Women in Health Initiative (WiHI): supports women entering and advancing their careers in business development roles in the health science industry. Among other initiatives, the WiHI Seed Program addresses the significant barriers that women-led health science companies face in accessing financing.

Life Sciences Critical Technologies & Commercialization (LSCTC) Centre of Excellence: provides infrastructure, commercialization, technology adoption and talent programming to accelerate the use of critical technologies: 5G and advanced networks, ethical artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, quantum and robotics
